In your DeerCast app, tap on the three vertical dot button on the far right of your bottom navbar. From the menu list, tap, “Subscribe.” From there, compare the different features in each tier and pick the level with the right tools for the way you hunt!
DeerCast needs a location to know where to pull weather data. Ensure that you have a location selected or have “Current Location” enabled in your “My Locations” menu item.
DeerCast can download maps for use in offline mode. Navigate on the map to the area you want to save. Then tap the “Tools” button. It’s the plus sign in the DeerCast hexagon on the right side of the screen. Swipe and tap “Offline Map.” Next, you’ll notice a red square that indicates the map area DeerCast will save.
Tap “Save” and DeerCast will begin downloading your map information. You’ll see a status bar indicating the progress of your download. While your maps are downloading, you can background the app, but shutting down DeerCast completely will halt the upload and you’ll need to restart it, so leave DeerCast running while you’re downloading an offline map.
Access your offline maps by opening the layers menu and selecting “Offline Maps.”
Tap on the item you want to share. A bottom sheet appears with a three vertical dot option button. Tap it and elect “Share,” then choose to whom and how you want to share the item!
DeerCast parcel data provides property owner names, tax ID address, parcel boundary lines, acreage, lat./long., and county.
Each county is responsible for reporting their property owner data, and not all do. If you’re seeing locations without property data, it’s most likely that county has not reported the information.
User uploaded content is visible only to that user, unless it is selected by the DeerCast team to also publish in the public news feed. If you’d like to share your post to someone else, just tap the share button to the right of the Comment count under the preview image from your post.
Your entire DeerCast phase breakdown is based off the peak estrus date for your saved hunting locations. We’ve prepopulated an estimated date, but you might choose to set it to a custom date. Change your peak estrus date by navigating to your My Locations menu. Tap the ellipsis (three horizontal dots) and tap Use Date to pick a new peak estrus date.
